Serge Nicholson is a COSRT accredited Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist, with an interest and passion for GSRD client work. He is an alumnus of London Diploma, in 2019 he undertook the NAOS Advanced Diploma in Couples Therapy, subsequently joining the NAOS tutor team.
Serge has a private practice, in London, and also delivers therapy nationally, working closely with gender care clinicians and clients. Serge is co-facilitator of the Gendered Intelligence Network for Therapists and Counsellors supervision group for practitioners working with gender diverse casework. He was involved as a researcher with the Nottingham University research project supporting the work of Ellen Marshall, Cris Glazebrook, Sally Robbins-Cherry, Nat Thorne & Jon Arcelus: The Quality And Satisfaction Of Romantic Relationships In Transgender People (2020).
Serge is a consultant and trainer in GSRD with a special interest in gender diversity awareness.
Serge's former career was in social care and protection, supporting outsider clients with their loss of mental capacity, hoarding, anti-social behaviour, and end of life care. Serge was part of the pioneering trans led cliniQ Trans Sexual Health & Wellbeing Team, the Trans Health Matters Conferences and a programmer of cliniQ’s 'Let's Talk Sex & Relationships'. He has also been a Trans Advocacy Worker at Galop, London's LGBT anti-violence & abuse charity.
In addition to counselling, Serge is a writer, editor and producer with Hotpencil Press, publishing three edited collections to date, touring book readings internationally. He has for many decades been a co-creator of LGBTQ+ celebratory art and performance events.
